The government will announce its stance on relaxing the import of vehicles by August, Finance State Minister Shehan Semasinghe said.
Addressing the media, he said the announcement of the import of vehicles will be made in four stages, while relaxing the import.
However, the government is hoping to import vehicles that will help with business activities and transport while managing the foreign reserves.
The import of private vehicles will be made in the first phase of 2025, the State Minister said.
